Restaurant ReviewsRestaurants In Tunbridge Wells
Like a lot of towns and cities in the UK, Tunbridge Wells is split up into a few distinct areas of great contrast. Each of these areas carries different styles of restaurant to indulge yourself in. In this article, I will talk about these areas and give you an idea as to the type of cuisine you can expect to find here.
The Camden Road area of Tunbridge Wells is an up and coming area. The most run down part of Tunbridge Wells, for the most part, Camden Road consists of Fast Food outlets including Pizza Takeaway, Chinese, Indian and Kebabs. Donð€™t get me wrong, some of these outlets provide a great piece of food, especially at 3am on a Saturday Morning. On the other end of the scale are trendy cafes and a number of quality gourmet restaurants. These higher end places started popping up a couple of years ago and they donð€™t seem to be stopping. I predict a completely different landscape for Camden Road in the next 5 years.
The new town, by which I mean the part of the town at the top of the hill, north of the cross roads with the old cinema is the place to go for your usually chain restaurants. There is nothing special about these Tunbridge Wells restaurants that you will not find in any other modern British town. Again, I am not putting these places down, some of them serve very good food, however the majority of establishments here serve the same pre-prepared meals that are on the delivery route of every truck in their company.
The old town, at the bottom of the hill and on the Pantiles is where the best restaurants in Tunbridge Wells reside. As the old part of town, many of these restaurants have been here for 10s of years and longer. Here the restaurants include English, Italian, Indian, Chinese, even Mexican and many more. Just about every taste imaginable is catered for in these Tunbridge Wells Restaurants.
The best advice I can give you is to just get out there and experiment, see what you like and most of all, enjoy it.
