Restaurant ReviewsSweet Temptations at The Chocolate Room
What you see ò€“ A nice lawn greets you as you walk towards the entrance of The Chocolate Room food joint. in Madhapur, Hyderabad. The dÓ©cor of the place is understandably in different hues of brown and peppered with red sofas and chairs. On the lawns outside is a small hut enclosure appropriately named The Chocolate Hut.
The whole setup is reminiscent of an upscale bistro. These restaurants are a part of an Australian franchise and they have branches across cities in Asia and Australia. Needless to say this is a chocolate loverò€™s paradise and a chocoholicò€™s dream.
What you get ò€“ This is the ideal place to go for people who like chocolate or even for those who are intrigued by the name. This bistro does not disappoint as it has all the combinations of chocolate one can dream of. Well, we even spotted Chocolate pizza and Chocolate soup on the menu. There is a table with trays of chocolates near the entrance to the left and the very sight of that is enough to get you drooling. The staff is very courteous and you are well greeted and shown to a table, inside or outside.
Looking at the menu one does get the impression that everything here is chocolate-based but there are some snacks and sandwiches available without chocolate too. There are many signature dishes here, and some of the descriptions entice you into ordering what is on the menu just to see what the dish looks like. A must try is the Warm Chocolate Shot, which is essentially a shot of chocolate served with a candle underneath.
There is the regular fare of chocolate dessert favorites such as Hot Chocolate, Chocolate Sundaes, Chocolate Pancakes, Milkshakes et al. For all the drinks there is a choice of ordering them in the cuddle cup or the warmer cup. The cuddle cup needs to be held with both palms and well, cuddled to have a sip. We even tried the Chocolate Pancake which is slathered with chocolate.
Our verdict ò€“ The menu at Chocolate Room is quite interesting. The service is prompt but the staff taking your order may not necessarily know the description of dishes themselves. So it is best to order carefully or ask the managers for help. There is ample parking space around the place. All in all one can enjoy that great cup of Hot Chocolate on a chilly night in the lawns or have a delicious ice cream topped with molten chocolate. A trip to this place will not disappoint you. Prices are reasonable.
